Sadio Mane injury update

January 24, 2020 • admin

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is unsure on the severity of the injury that forward Sadio Mane suffered during Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.

The Reds defeated Wolves 2-1 at the Molineux Stadium, which provides Liverpool a 16-point lead at the highest of the Premier League table with a game in hand.

However, Mane was forced off the dig in the first-half thanks to a hamstring injury, which didn’t look season-ending, but it had been enough for the the Senegal international to return off the pitch.

However, Klopp has stated that he doesn’t know the results of Mane’s injury as of yet.

“We don’t know exactly [what the injury is], it’s the muscle. He felt something within the hamstring,” said Klopp, as quoted by LiverpoolFC.com.

“We don’t know yet, obviously, we’ve to attend we’ll see.”

Hopefully this is often not too serious of an injury. Mane did the proper thing asking to return off as soon as he felt something.

The fact he could walk off the pitch with relative ease suggests that this injury is nothing too serious. However, if it were to be, Mane would be an enormous loss for the Reds. he’s arguably the foremost important man in Liverpool’s attack.
